The Ronald McDonald Gala Ball is Canberra’s biggest and most prestigious gala balls. Each year, this event draws a crowd of 1000, eager to experience an evening of community, elegance, and unforgettable entertainment. The Gala Ball aims to raise funds for Ronald McDonald house so they are able to provide accommodation and support to families with seriously ill or injured children, this years efforts saw over $600,000 raised for Ronald McDonald House.

Setting the Scene with Red and Royalty

The mood was set right from when the guests entered the event hall, a grand entrance through heart-shaped arches that flickered with red and silver lights and a red carpet entrance. In the event hall, the mood was set with dramatic red stage drapes and elegant floral and candle centrepieces.

This was my second year capturing this event and I must say it is hands down one of my favourite events to cover. Given the events size, it was crucial to go in with a detailed shot list and brief.
